What is freedom?

What is freedom? I had a project that I was working on recently. I felt "stuck" and couldn't go forward so I put it down and walked away. Actually, I turned the TV on and watched a useless program to take my mind off of it. (Being real here). Upon evaluating the situation with a good friend the next day I realized I needed freedom in this area. I took Jesus into the area that I felt stuck and asked him to reveal the biggest lie that I was believing. He showed me that I was believing that I couldn't do the project or even work on the project by myself. I asked him where this lie came in and he showed me that when I was a young child and would start a project, I had a close friend that would come and take over. They wouldn't ask if I needed help, they would just come and start doing it their way. This made me feel as if I couldn't do a project on my own and even if I tried it wouldn't be done correctly.

God showed me that the truth of the matter is that it wasn't about me at all. The person that came over and took over had control issues. It was their brokenness and not mine. However, I had brought this lie into my life which brought brokenness into me. After God revealed this truth, I forgave the person that took over my projects and rebuked the lie that I was believing. I also forgave myself for believing this lie all these years. I laid the lie at Jesus' feet and asked him for truth. He informed that this project was in my destiny for me to work on, and that He had designed me perfectly to finish the current project at hand with excellence.

Today when I sat down to work, it just flowed. The project came together in a few hours and was one of my best works yet. What an incredible feeling it was to experience the difference.

So what is freedom? It's the difference between the struggle and the flow. It's knowing who you are in Christ and just what you have within you. We are made for greatness and we all have a destiny. God created us for our destiny and we have everything that we need. When we walk in that truth, in that fullness, in that strength.... all things are possible.
